Fabryczna - tranquil suburban character of the district in an industrial surroundings

General information
Covering 奥谤辞肠艂补飞鈥檚 western rump, Fabryczna is primarily known for two reasons: its airport and its football stadium. Taking its name after the factories that once dominated the landscape, the area鈥檚 industrial heritage is counter-balanced by an array of parks and forests, not to mention historical landmarks such as the palatial Le艣nica Castle. Rebuilt in Baroque style in the 18th century, today it houses an acclaimed cultural centre whose busy program of events include an annual beer festival. There is, however, also a serious side to Fabryczna and that much is evidenced by the presence of the Higher School of Banking and business parks such as the state-of-the-art Business Garden 奥谤辞肠艂补飞. Home to a thriving office culture, more and more firms have made Fabryczna their base.

Ambitious residential projects have come thick and fast, making Fabryczna a strong choice for prospective buyers. Of the more prestigious, Port Popowice will present approximately 2,500 apartments upon completion. Set around a small but scenic harbour, find it tucked amid parks, woodland the Oder River. Greenery & Recreational Spaces
Riddled with hiking trails, cycle paths and, even, the ruins of a pre-war German restaurant, the 550 hectare Las Mokrza艅ski is the city鈥檚 largest forest. Doing well in the greenery stakes, Fabryczna鈥檚 glories do not end there 鈥� spoiled for choice, residents can also enjoy such places as Park Tysi膮clecia, a modern and user-friendly complex that bills itself as the biggest park in 奥谤辞肠艂补飞. Boasting a castle-themed playground, rolling meadows, artificial gorges, BBQ spots and streams, it鈥檚 become an attraction in its own right ever since its creation in the year 2000. Likewise, Park Zachodni is equally loved by locals 鈥� lurking in the undergrowth, find the remains of WWI military fortifications scattered around. Fabryczna鈥檚 sporting credentials are also quite peerless. Used as a host venue for Euro 2012, the 45,000 capacity Tarczy艅ski Arena is among the country鈥檚 most modern stadium facilities, and its to here that fans converge to pay homage to the local football side, 艢lask 奥谤辞肠艂补飞. Featuring indoor and outdoor pools, an ice rink and basketball arena, the Orbita sports complex is likewise celebrated across the city.
